![]() ![]() PACCAR Winch Division consists of two manufacturing facilities in Oklahoma: one in Broken Arrow and one in Okmulgee. Since the mid 1940s, this company has been a major employer in Broken Arrow. Now officially known as Braden, Carco, Gearmatic Company, for long-time Broken Arrowans, this will always be the "Braden Winch" company. After his death in Broken Arrow in 1995, Disney World retired the song from its Christmas program. During the 1980s and early 1990s he directed the Disney World Christmas Chorale each year as it opened with his “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas”. He wrote more than 700 songs for movies and Broadway with various partners and received numerous awards for his music. He gained fame as a songwriter, NBC vocalist, arranger and actor for stage and screen in New York and Hollywood. Ralph Blane Hunsecker was born in Broken Arrow on July 26, 1914. The cars have become classic vehicles and are highly prized by collectors. The company ceased producing the cars in the 1970s. He later moved into a new building on the Broken Arrow Expressway. The new car, powered with a Chevrolet Corvette engine, was an expensive car, was handcrafted, and sold around the world. Glen Pray, President of the company, later decided to produce a new car, a 718th size Cord, based on the design of the 1930s-era sports car. The ACD (Auburn-Cord- Duisenberg) Auto Company restored those classic antique cars for an elite worldwide market. ![]()
